Thanksgiving is a time to reflect, give thanks, and help those who are less fortunate. We partner with multiple agencies to distribute boxes of food to families in need. This program has become one of our most popular activities because of the invaluable support that our partners provide. It is heartwarming to see the broad and diverse levels of support that our community provides to help the less fortunate. We are proud to have contributed to the distribution of more than 3000 meals in the DMV.

The “Thanksgiving Food Box Giveaway” held on Sunday November 22nd in Clinton, Md. was a huge success. Purposeful Living and Giving partnered with Council Member Sydney Harrison (District 9), Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Gamma Pi Chapter), Tree of Life Christian Ministries, and Project Giveback. We were able to distribute over 500 Thanksgiving dinner boxes. Each box contained enough food to feed a family of four.  We wish the entire District 9 community a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
